1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Grip, a personal finance tracking application ("Service") operated by Bastech ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Grip is a web-based personal finance management tool that allows users to track income, expenses, account balances, recurring payables, and budget goals. The Service is accessed through a web browser and is designed for personal and household use. Grip is not a banking service, financial advisor, or regulated financial institution.

3. Accounts & Registration

To use Grip, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Grip offers both a free plan and a paid subscription plan ("Founding Member"). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

  • ·Subscription fees are billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout.
  • ·Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your payment card information.
  • ·Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • ·You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • ·All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied with the Service within 7 days of your first payment, contact us at support@bastech.app for a full refund. After 7 days, subscription fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods or unused portions of a subscription.

6. User Data & Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. All financial data you enter into Grip is stored securely in our database and is used solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • ·Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • ·Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • ·Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • ·Use the Service to process, store, or transmit data on behalf of third parties for commercial purposes.
  • ·Introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful data into the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, branding, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the Bastech and Grip names, logos, software, and design — are the exclusive property of Bastech and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service.

9. Disclaimers

Grip is a personal finance tracking tool and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All information displayed in the Service is based solely on data you enter. We make no warranties, express or implied, that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any errors will be corrected. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bastech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@bastech.app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Bastech ("we," "us," or "our") is a digital product company based in the Philippines. We build web applications including Grip, a personal finance tracker (grip.bastech.app), and Lunas, a lending management tool (lunas.bastech.app). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect across our website and products, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at support@bastech.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account on one of our products, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider — we never see or store your plain-text password).

Information you enter into our products. Grip stores the financial records you choose to enter, such as accounts, transactions, payables, and budget goals. Lunas stores the business records a lender enters, such as borrower details, loans, and payment schedules. This data belongs to you. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.

Contact form submissions. If you contact us through our website form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit.

Technical basics. Like most websites, our hosting and database providers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on our site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to provide and improve our services: keeping your account working, showing you your own data, sending essential service emails (such as account invitations, payment confirmations, or important product updates), responding to support requests, and keeping our systems secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

4. Where Your Data Lives

Your data is stored with Supabase, our cloud database and authentication provider, hosted in the Asia-Pacific (Singapore) region. All connections to our products are encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

5. Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. Your card or payment details are entered directly with Lemon Squeezy and are never stored on Bastech systems. We receive only what we need to activate your plan, such as your email and subscription status.

6. Service Providers We Rely On

We use a small set of trusted providers to run our services: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (website hosting), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Brevo (transactional email delivery), and Formspree (contact form). Each receives only the information needed to do its job. When we publish content to our own social media pages (such as our Facebook Page), no customer data is involved.

7. A Note for Lunas Users

Lunas is a tool for lenders to manage their own lending records. If you are a lender using Lunas, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record your borrowers' information. If you are a borrower whose details were entered by a lender, contact that lender first for corrections; you may also reach us at support@bastech.app and we will help where we can.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@bastech.app from the email address on your account. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.

9. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete it (as described above). To exercise any of these rights, email support@bastech.app. We respond to all requests within 30 days. We comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and apply the same care to users everywhere.

10. Children

Our products are financial tools intended for adults. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
